Sara Hurand is a registered architect and the owner of Iris Design, llc. She works on a variety of design projects including architectural, real estate development, corporate identity, and product development. Sara has experience with retail, commercial, residential, and institutional architecture. Sara has consulted with numerous retail businesses and development projects from concept through execution. She also consults with companies on innovative product design. Sara uses creative and artistic vision coupled with the analytic and scientific tools of architecture and planning to execute projects that are innovative, interesting and economically viable. Sara’s professional affiliations include the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), The Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE), and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Sara holds a Master in Architecture Degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Architecture from Parsons School of Design. Sara is an active community advocate sitting on several non-profit agency boards. Sara has particular interest in sustainably minded business practices.
